The BEST way to bag airline freebies – according to frequent flyers #Travel

Flight companies often offer a variety of perks, yet sometimes only super-savvy travellers are aware how to take best advantage of them. Such luxury benefits could range from free seat upgrades and a switch in flight class, to in-flight meals or additional baggage. Yet for those who do not travel often, or don’t look too deeply into the methods behind booking, they can miss out. Now experts at air passenger rights organisation AirHelp, coupled with airport planner Annie Lindseth, have shared their exclusive advice to Express.co.uk of how to make those air journeys extra special.

Is this the one in-flight sandwich that WON'T taste awful?

A spokesperson for AirHelp told Express.co.uk travellers should take inspiration from frequent flyers.

They said: “Regular business travellers know how to play the game.

“They pick their favourite airline, sign up for the alliance’s frequent flyer program and always book with that airline if possible, even if it’s not always the cheapest fare.

“They commit to getting premier status and revel in the significant perks.”

Meanwhile, Annie said holidaymakers should think outside the box – even considering how they paid for their flights, to maximise the benefits.
