Brexiteer Sammy Wilson took aim at Theresa May for her apparent “scare tactics” regarding the Northern Ireland backstop issue to force her Brexit deal through the House of Commons. Mr Wilson insisted the Irish Government made it clear that there would be no checks along the Irish border meaning there would be no threat to peace between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The DUP MP unleashed condemned the Prime Minister for her failings and refuted Mrs May's claim that Northern Ireland was at fault and was not prepared.
