The royal family, with Queen Elizabeth II at the helm, is a focal point both in the UK and worldwide. Its members often undertake overseas excursions through the year, to promote good relations and the status on the crown. Currently, first in line to the throne Prince Charles and his wife Camilla are in Cuba. Meanwhile the Queen, 92, has graced more than 120 countries during her tenure as the UK’s longest-serving monarch.

Yet even that impressive achievement is not enough to see Prince Philip’s wife hailed as the most “internationally focussed” royal, according to biographer Robert Hardman.

In his new book, Queen of the World, he has shed light on how it is fact the Queen’s grandson, Prince Harry, 34, has taken the title for his royal travel duties.

In the book he wrote: “If carrying out a relevant modern role has been a challenge for the Duke of Cambridge, it has been even more of one for his younger brother.

“‘The future is on tramlines for William and we know what has to happen,’ said a senior member of the royal household.
