The Chase host Bradley Walsh, 58, was utterly elated with his team this evening as the first three contestants managed to accrue £50,000 to play for in the final chase.
But the third contestant, Chris, left fans a little confused as he was discussing his backstory with Bradley.
Brad asked the contestant what he did before he retired, to which Chris replied: “I ran a death toast.”
Entirely baffled, Bradley responded: “You had a what?”
Repeating himself Chris announced: “I ran a guest house!”
Bradley chuckled to himself before swiftly moving on, but fans simply couldn’t let it go.
They began speaking out on Twitter with much confusion, as one began: “I also heard ‘death toast’ @ITVChase #thechase.”
