The matter-of-fact star, who has previously claimed that playing Jon Snow drove him into therapy, has now revealed the pull of the character and Game of Thrones.
Kit Harington has revealed: “There’s something nice again about returning to a character that feels like you’re just dropping into a warm blanket. You know him, you know how he would react in a situation.
“You are excited to get the costume back on and feel your way back into that person.”
He then also joked to Emmy magazine that Jon Snow himself looks like a warm blanket.
Jon Snow as a “warm blanket” is something that fans would really not associate with the rugged fighter.
However, he also said of Snow: “Having stepped away from it physically, it already feels like it's a part of my past. It always felt like a domineering presence in my life. Even now that it hasn't come out yet, I still feel I'm separate from it: I'm moving on.”
It appears that he needs Jon Snow when he wants him, but then soon tires of the hype surround him.
Given Harington’s past admission of the pressure of playing Jon Snow has had on his personal life it is surprising he compares him to a comfortable blanket.
