The sickening clip shows the man picking up the tiny pooch by its neck after the dog did not want to walk into the store. The helpless animal is then left hanging in the air as the man does his shopping. The RSPCA has launched an investigation into the disturbing incident, which happened at the Co-op in Romford, Essex, at about midday on February 15.

Another shopper reported the man to the RSPCA who then visited the shop and found the footage.
Inspector Jemima Cooper said: "We were contacted by another customer in the shop who was concerned by the man’s treatment of the dog so I visited and spoke to staff who reviewed the CCTV and found this upsetting footage.
