Paul (played by Stefan Dennis) has always mangled to have some sort of dodgy scheme running in the background, no matter how hard he’s tried to turn over a new leaf during his time on Neighbours.
Next week, another one of his dastardly plots lands him in hot water with his girlfriend Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) when she discovers her partner has been keeping more secrets from her, although she had previously warned him about his actions recently on the Channel 5 soap.
Terese and Paul recently reunited after she dumped his son Leo Tanaka (Tim Kano) following an unexpected proposal from the young Robinson man, but her concerns about romancing former lover Paul once again have begun to re-surface.
Worried Paul isn’t seeing her as an equal, Terese will tell her lover this week she wants him to move out the Lassiters Hotel so they can focus on their relationship, leading him to conduct his dodgy deeds under the radar.
However, Paul’s scheme begins to unravel when Chloe Brennan (April Rose Pengilly) is recruited by the ruthless businessman to help him in his mission, paying her well to ensure she gets something out of his plan.
It turns out Paul has asked Chloe to help him secure a deal with wealthy investor Max Walpole for his development plans, but the hotel owner makes it his mission to ensure Terese and his daughter Amy Williams (Zoe Cramond) are nowhere to be seen.
Though, son Leo soon becomes suspicious of his father setting Terese and Amy off on a goose chase, leading him to tell his ex-girlfriend Paul is up to no good.
Demanding answers, Terese and Amy end up in the meeting with Paul, Chloe and Max taking place in the hotel penthouse with it soon becoming clear why Chloe has been roped into the plan.
Max begins to ask questions himself when Terese refers to Chloe by the real name, with Paul having to explain he had recruited his employee to pose as his daughter Amy.
Confused even further by Paul’s scheme, the ruthless businessman explains he was embarrassed Amy was no longer working for him, recruiting Chloe to keep up appearances to secure his investment from Max.
