Alastair Campbell LOSES IT as he claims Brexit has proven to be 'UNDELIVERABLE'

Alastair Campbell claimed the British Government would not be able to deliver to the people the Brexit they wanted because of the "lies" Brexiteers fed to voters. Mr Campbell insisted Britain should agree to take part in the European Union's elections to be represented in the EU Parliament if Brussels agrees to a further delay of the Brexit process. Speaking to Sky News, the former Labour spin doctor said: "The message it sends is that this process is in chaos and it’s in chaos because Brexit, as it was promised, is undeliverable.

"Therefore, don’t blame me for this, don’t blame the people who voted for it.

"You have to put the blame at the door of those people – some of them still in the Cabinet – who told a pack of lies about what Brexit was going to mean and how easy it was going to be."

Theresa May announced on Tuesday her Government would seek a further delay to Brexit after she failed to secure the support of Parliament for her proposed withdrawal agreement three times since January. 

To agree to a delay past the current April 12 deadline, Brussels could however demand Britain field candidates for the European election expected to take place between May 23 and May 26.
