In season seven of Game of Thrones Cersei Lannister (played by Lena Headey) announced she would be having another baby with Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau).
The two were parents to three children but all of them died in tragic circumstances, leaving the pair heartbroken.
However, in the last series Cersei revealed she was pregnant again, a statement which was received with scepticism by fans of the show.
She is known for lying to the ones closest to her; plus she is a master of manipulation and perhaps feared Jaime would abandon her to fight the army of the dead with her enemies.
What’s more, a recent trailer for season eight showed the Queen crying over a glass of wine suggesting she is not pregnant.
If you cast your mind back to season seven, the King’s Landing resident refused to drink the wine Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) poured for her.
Therefore, it would seem unlikely she would consume alcohol if she was knowingly aware she is pregnant with her fourth child.
Then again, this is Cersei Lannister - anything is possible, however, it does beg the question: Was she ever pregnant?
Perhaps, she suffered a miscarriage or, she just fancied a little tipple, regardless there is reason to be sceptical of her pregnancy.
Having said that, there is also cause to believe she is with child, as she the script directions for when she told Jamie about the baby read: “She nods, it’s true.[…]
