The cast of Emmerdale has welcomed a number of new actors onto the ITV soap in 2019 and Paddy Kirk’s (played by Dominic Brunt) father Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) is one of them. Bear Wolf returns to Emmerdale in tonight’s episode (Thursday, April 4), a few weeks after making his debut on the soap in February. With Bear appearing more and more on-screen, soap fans are wondering who actor Joshua Richards is and where they recognise him from.

ITV soap fans first witnessed Paddy’s dad in action in February 2019 after his son had managed to track him down.
Paddy and Marlon (Mark Charnock) headed to a wrestling convention in Belfast where they found Bear.
Emmerdale viewers are set to see more of Bear on-screen in the coming weeks as Richards’ character steps foot in the village to reunite with his son.
Richards said about the role: "I am delighted to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. Having been based in Yorkshire for most of my life, it’s fantastic to now be filming there too. Bear Wolf is a great character and I am looking forward to seeing what’s in store for him."
While it’s the actor’s first stint in soap land, fans will undoubtedly recognise Richards from a number of his high-profile roles.
