Ruby Allen’s rapists’ fate sealed in major trial development? #EastEnders

Tonight’s episode of EastEnders saw Matt (played by Mitchell Hunt) take to the stand where he was cross examined by Ruby’s (Louisa Lytton) barrister.

It’s already been indicated on the BBC soap that Matt has felt uncomfortable throughout the proceedings while Ross Swinden (Ossian Luke) on the other hand has seemed remorseless.

But Matt crumbled tonight when the facts of the night were laid out in front of him.

The barrister probed Matt on what had really happened that evening and he confessed it was Ross who told him Ruby was “up for it” despite her never providing any consent.

He continued to grill Matt by asking the words Ross had told him to encourage him to assault Ruby.

Buckling under the pressure, Matt replied: “Your turn.”

Matt said Ruby did not expressly say she wanted to have sex with him but that “she didn’t have to” because she “didn’t stop [him]”.

The barrister tore down Matt’s words as he faltered on the stand.
