Holidays, for many travellers, are often a balance between luxury and budget. Many try to make their money stretch as far as possible, so as to have as much spending cash as they can when they each their destination. With a host of bargain airlines running multiple flight routes, taking advantage of a cheap plane journey may seem relatively simple. Yet hotels and accommodation can often bump up the cost.
Travel experts from Which? have spoken exclusively to Express.co.uk to divulge three top secrets on how to secure a purse friendly, yet supremely comfortable hotel bargain.
Will Hide, Which?’s travel writer, firstly recommended holidaymakers do their research.
He said: “Comparison sites, like Tripadvisor and Trivago, check prices across dozens of hotel booking sites, like Booking.com and Hotels.com, so head to the comparison sites first.
“When we priced hotel stays across the most popular comparison sites, we found Tripadvisor had the best price in six of 10 searches.
“The differences were just a few pounds though, so there’s little point in looking at more than one comparison site.”
