Travel experts from Which? have spoken exclusively to Express.co.uk to divulge three top secrets on how to secure a purse friendly, yet supremely comfortable hotel bargain.

Will Hide, Which?’s travel writer, firstly recommended holidaymakers do their research.

He said: “Comparison sites, like Tripadvisor and Trivago, check prices across dozens of hotel booking sites, like Booking.com and Hotels.com, so head to the comparison sites first.

“When we priced hotel stays across the most popular comparison sites, we found Tripadvisor had the best price in six of 10 searches.

“The differences were just a few pounds though, so there’s little point in looking at more than one comparison site.”
