Meghan Markle had Royal staff 'SMOOTH things over' with father Thomas, expert ...

Meghan Markle is believed to have cut communication with her father Thomas Markle after he released a heartfelt letter the Duchess of Sussex wrote to him after her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018. Thomas Markle, a former director of photography, has repeatedly appeared on breakfast television discussing intimate aspects of Meghan's life before joining the Royal Family, sparking a break with his daughter. But commentator Neil Sean suggested the radio silence surrounding the Duchess' father could signal Royal staff intervened to "smooth something out" before the arrival of the Royal Baby later this Spring.

Speaking to Today, the royal expert said: "I’ve got to be honest, having seen him up close, I’d keep him at arm's length. The problem you have is the trust element.

"On a more serious note, even if Meghan and Harry reach out, is Thomas Markle going to dash off to TMZ and report it all? I think it was very ill-informed of him to go on breakfast tv and do such a long and detailed interview and that must be very hurtful to her as his daughter.

"She will want him in their life but I think it will be very low-key."

Thomas Markle has not released further interviews after he released a letter Meghan wrote to him in August 2018 demanding he stops discussing her private life on television. The pair are believed to have not met in person since before the wedding, which he was forced to skip after it emerged he had struck an arrangement with paparazzi to photograph him.
