This Morning hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford are ever the professionals and can deal with any interruption.
And today was no different as they chatted to heart surgeon, Stephen Westaby, about his new book, The Knife’s Edge, which discusses his career saving an incredible 12,000 patients.
As he gave incredible details about the intricate work he does, the professor was seemingly interrupted by a phone beep.
Eamonn and Ruth looked around, before the former said: “Is that my phone?”
Ruth pulled her device out and said: “Mine’s on silent!”
Stephen took his phone out of his pocket and threw it a little way down the sofa.
The surgeon joked: “The things is, doctor’s can never switch off their phones.”
And it seemed he didn’t manage to put the device on silent as it beeped again later on in the chat.
Nevertheless, viewers were seriously impressed with Stephen and flocked to Twitter in praise of the medical man.
