The ingenious question was posited to the former Labour Prime Minister by Channel 4 presenter Matt Frei. He asked directly: “What words strike less horror in your mind? The words ‘Prime Minister Boris Johnson’ or ‘Prime Minister Jeremy Corbyn’?”
Mr Blair blinked and then laughed, apparently speechless.
He then began: “Well, first of all -“
But Mr Frei shot in: “No, no. Answer the question - go on!”
Coyly, Mr Blair replied: “I’ll answer it in my own way.”

But then his alliance curiously appeared to drift towards Mr Corbyn.
He explained: “First of all, I vote Labour, I’m a member of the Labour Party - and he’s the leader of the Labour Party.”
But that was the only reassurance Mr Blair was able to make before he began an onslaught against Boris Johnson.
He said: “For the moment, I’m concentrating on Brexit.
“And, for me, to end up with a hard Brexiteer in charge of the Tory Party would be a disaster for the country.
“And I hope that that doesn’t happen.
