Kaley Cuoco has been vocal in expressing her sadness at The Big Bang Theory season 12 being the last season in the hit CBS show.
The star, who has played Penny Hofstadter for all 12 seasons, has summed up the sadness of the fans in recent weeks, but now one detail has hit her the hardest.
She has posted the official advertisement for the series’s final episode on her Instagram and admitted: “If it wasn’t real before, it’s real now.”
The photo shows the show’s seven main characters all holding onto each other in a poignant reference to the cast’s reluctance to let go of the show.
The post sent fans into meltdown as they echoed her sadness.
One fan commented: “This breaks my heart!!! Such a massive fan and cannot believe this has to come to an end!!!!”
Another said: “So depressed but I’m glad you guys are leaving me with Young Sheldon.”
One fan commented with what a lot of fans are thinking, and hoping: “I fully accept this show needs a break for a few years but please promise that somehow somewhere down the line you will all come back, if even for one episode! Love you all.”
Kaley’s Instagram story also teased how she felt just after she drove past the final season promo on a billboard: ”Driving to work this morning and almost crashed when laying eyes on the Warner Brothers wall.”
