Although it will be a fairly sunny start to the day, temperatures in some areas could fall to as low as -4C the MetOffice has confirmed. For Wales, the Midlands and northwards it will be a frosty start to the day as commuters awake to bitter conditions. After a fairly pleasant start to the month, Britons will experience much colder conditions over the next week as a cold weather front from Scandinavia hits the nation.
Following the morning’s frost, temperatures across the UK will begin to rise as temperatures hit the low teens for many across the country.
Met office Meteorologist Aidan McGivern said: “We’re back to overnight frost during the next few nights.
“It will be a frosty start for many locations from the Midlands northwards but that will be avoided over the southern counties of England.
“In the afternoon it will be just a sunny day and it will pleasant out of wind although it will feel chilly in that wind,
