Harry Redknapp took his frustration out on Alexa, a smart-home device, after struggling to get the appliance to listen to him. The 72-year-old I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! champion had tried to use the gadget to request a recipe, but had trouble getting it to understand him. On a recent episode of ITV’s Hard to Please OAPs, the father-of-two asked the machine for instructions to make scones. Crouching down next to Alexa, he commanded: “Could you give us the recipe for making scones.”
However, the device offered a recipe for chicken stew instead, stunning the football manager and his co-stars June Brown and Michael Whitehall.
“We don’t want stew,” Harry continued, before slowly repeating: “Alexa… we would like the recipe for making scones.”
When the device failed to comprehend what he was saying again, the TV star flew into an angry rant and began shouting at it.
“No! Sod it, we don’t want bleeding chicken stew you silly cow. We want scones,” he screamed.
The virtual assistant then offered to instruct him on how to make the snack with orange and cinnamon spread.
