The Flash (played by Grant Gustin) has seen a large amount of enemies in his time fighting crime.
However none of them have ever come as close to defeating him as Reverse Flash (Tom Cavanagh) - a constant source of pain and suffering for Barry.
But, as explained back in seasons one and two, Reverse Flash was originally a super fan of the scarlet speedster who later turned evil.
And fans of the show believe this is exactly the narrative arc they will see in the upcoming sixth season of The CW’s show.
Barry was introduced to Reverse Flash - Eobard Thawne - in season one when he found out he murdered Barry’s mother, Nora Allen (Michelle Harrison).
This event spiralled into the time-paradox fans now know as the Flashpoint Paradox.
But could viewers see the birth of this heinous villain in the upcoming sixth season?
Viewers on Reddit believe so, as one recently wrote: “What if the season ends (kinda like last season) with a speedster showing up in a replica Flash costume.
“This speedster will then take his mask off and declare himself to be Eobard Thawne - A.K.A. the Flash’s biggest fan.”
