Shoppers go wild as world's biggest Primark opens in Birmingham
But the excitable fans going wild yesterday were there for the opening of the world's biggest Primark store.
An estimated 5,000 eager shoppers flocked to the massive five-storey shop in the centre of Birmingham.
The 161,000sq ft store occupies the entire site of the former shopping centre and comes complete with a Disneythemed cafe, a barber shop and beauty studio, as well as Primark's standard offering - affordable fashion.
The development, four times the size of Primark's previous Birmingham store, is thought to have cost about £70million.
