Meghan Markle to learn from 'BITTER lessons' Kate digested during Prince ...

Meghan Markle is due to deliver her first child to Prince Harry any day now and the couple has announced they will keep quiet about any plan for the Royal Baby to welcome the arrival privately. The Duchess of Sussex is believed to be planning to have her firstborn near her new home on the Windsor Estate, Frogmore Cottage, thus putting an end to the long-standing tradition of seeking the services of the Lindo Wing staff in London. Dickie Arbiter, who served as press secretary to the Queen until 2000, suggested the decision to snub the London hospital may be the result of "bitter lessons" the family learned when Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, gave birth to Prince George in 2013.

Speaking to Yahoo's Royal Box, Mr Arbiter said: "There is a royal household medical team and they will be brought in but, at the end of the day, they are going to decide based on when the baby is due? what time Meghan has got to go to the hospital? And the media won’t know until she is actually in the hospital.

"Kensington Palace – we are talking about Kensington Palace because they are used to dealing with these things, as are Buckingham Palace – learned their bitter lesson when Prince George was born.

"The media were camping out the Lindo Wing in Paddington for about six or seven weeks. It was disrupting the hospital, disrupting ambulances, disrupting people wanting to go into the hospital for treatment or visiting."

Members of the public and the international press have been known to camp outside the Paddington hospital while expecting the Duchess of Cambridge to give birth to all three of her children.
