Ms Birbalsingh is founder and headteacher at Michaela Community School in Wembley Park, north-west London. She is a prominent advocate of “small c conservative” values in British education. Michaela Community School prides itself on traditional teacher led learning, discipline and patriotism to create a sense of belonging.
Nearly half the pupils at the school have English as a second language.
