Today on Saturday Kitchen, host Matt chatted to Loyle Carner, who is a big fan of the BBC series and is releasing his second album, Not Waving But Drowning, next week.
After welcoming Loyle onto the show, Matt went to ask him about his Food Heaven and Food Hell. But it was at this moment, he had to apologise after an awkward probe into his private life.
Matt was keen to find out what Loyle’s “missus” was called but the guest didn’t want to reveal her name live on air.
Loyle explained: “My food hell is mussels. Just cos I hate them, I just hate them and I don’t know why. I find them disgusting.”
“I mean they aren’t pleasant to look at but the smell, the taste of them is amazing,” Matt replied.
But Loyle wasn’t keen as he insisted: “It’s the taste, that’s the thing, I don’t think, because my missus loves them and my mum really loves them, and when we’re out they will eat them and I just eat the sauce.”
“Does your missus have a name?” Matt asked.
Loyle simply replied: “Yeah yeah yeah.”
“She’s probably watching,” the host continued.
