Game of Thrones returns for the eighth and final series tomorrow evening and fans are no doubt super excited to see how it will all unfold.

Unfortunately, it looks like it could see the end of Samwell as actor John teased he may not make it to the end of the series.

Appearing on BBC Radio 5 Live, host Calum MacDonald asked: “Will we see Samwell Tarly all the way through series eight?”

Sadly for fans, John appeared to confirm Samwell would perish in the fight against the Night King (Vladimir Furdik).

“It really does feel that he’s bringing a lot of people together for the end.”
