Ivanka Trump's mum, Ivana Trump, has spoken out!

Ivanka Trump is one of Donald Trump’s five children, who currently serves as an adviser to him, the US President. The 37-year-old is often spotted stepping out on engagements, and at the White House. Her step-mother carries out similar outings, as the US First Lady. The 48-year-old is just 11 years older than Ivanka.

There's a large age gap between the former businesswoman and her husband Donald Trump, who is 72.

But there's an even smaller gap between the First Lady and Donald’s eldest child Donald Trump Jr, who is 41.

Recently, Ivanka’s mother, Ivana Trump, 70, spoke out about the relationship between the First Lady and the adviser to the US President.

And, in the rare glimpse into their family life, the mother-of-three revealed she thought the relationship was amicable.

“She likes her fine,” she told The Atlantic.

Spokesperson for Melania, Stephanie Grisham, told Newsweek that the pair have a “close relationship”.

She said Melania and Ivanka “always shared a close relationship and still do today,” the publication reported.

Donald had three children with his first wife, Ivana Trump: Donald Jr, Ivanka, and Eric Trump, 35.

The now former couple married in 1977, but were granted a divorce in 1992.

A year later, Donald married Marla Maples, two months after they had had daughter Tiffany Trump, now 25, together.

However, six years later in 1999, the pair divorced.

It was in 2005 when Melania and Donald tied the knot.

Then newlyweds, the duo welcomed son Barron Trump, now 12, into the world in March 2006.

Earlier this week, Melania was pictured meeting the South Korean President and First Lady, Moon Jae-in and Kim Jung-sook.

The former fashion model’s style is something which many people admire, and Thursday was no different.

Melania wore a vibrant pink Louis Vuitton magenta coat for the occasion.

Mum-of-one Melania can speak more languages than any other First Lady before her: English, French, German, Italian, Serbian and of course her mother tongue, Slovenian.

This also makes her the only First Lady whose first language is not English.
