The Labour leader’s body language was described as “awful” after a picture showed him and his team with their arms folded. One Twitter user said: “Corbyn's narrow hand gestures aren't an inclusive gesture, though folded arms are worse. However, look at the expressions on the faces of the Pelosi people. The Left Divided?” While another added: “His body language is awful.”
A further Twitter user encouraged people to “spot the difference” in the images.
Of the meeting. the Labour leader said: “Open and wide-ranging meeting with US House of Representatives Speaker Pelosi today.
“We discussed the need to protect the Good Friday Agreement, take action on inequality and the climate crisis, confront racism and promote peace.”
