Sophie Turner has shut down a Game of Thrones fan after they had something negative to say about her on-screen person, Sansa Stark. The 23-year-old actress responded to the individual after they questioned why Arya Stark (played by Maisie Williams) and Jon Snow (Kit Harington) had called the Lady of Winterfell the “smartest person” they know in the premiere episode. Taking to Twitter to debate the comment, the person argued Jon’s half-sister had fallen for Petyr Baelish (Aidan Gillen), also known as Littlefinger, tricks therefore she was unworthy of the title. They said: “Ok but like I’m confused as to how Sansa is the smartest person she [Arya] knows when homegirl was five seconds away from falling into Petyr’s s**t.”
Replying to the commentator in view of her 1.92 million Twitter followers, Sophie simply said: “Girl… I never was.”
Her sassy remark was welcomed by many of her fans, with some commenting on the thread to hail the British beauty.
One person remarked: “OMG yes keep dragging Sansa haters,”(sic) as another wrote: “Sophie really has to spell it out for them.”
A third fan added: “Sansa has had amazing character growth. As she said, she's slow but she learns and we love her.”
Someone else remarked: “You tell them girl. I’m with Sansa, we trust the only queen, the queen in the north.”
