In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, Mr Tice said the EU wanted to put the UK in an “appalling situation to make things difficult for the nation". He said: "Through this difficulty, they hope that the UK will eventually ask to rejoin the EU." Mr Tice insisted this was one of the reasons why the EU had been so intransigent regarding Brexit negotiations.
