Former royal chef Carolyn Robb revealed Prince William and his younger brother Prince Harry have had a sweet tooth since childhood as she discussed her working days in the service of Princess Diana. The Duke of Cambridge's favourite dessert was revealed to be a rich chocolate cake the whole Royal Family is believed to be a fan of. Royal commentator Angela Morland told the This Morning Show: "Carolyn has come out and given this interview on what it was like working for them.

"Diana, according to Carolyn, used to come and sit in the kitchen, she would help with the dishes.

"She was happy with Prince William – he loves chocolate biscuit cake."

Ms Morland also discussed further details of Ms Robb's revelations about her time at Kensington Palace: "One of the anecdotes she talks about is, Harry when he was a boy, coming into the kitchen before breakfast wanting treacle tart.

"He came in saying he wanted treacle tart and she sent him off to get his mum’s permission. Diana wrote this adorable note that says, ‘Mummy says it’s ok!’
