Warm weather is on the way for Easter, but how hot could it get this weekend?

Easter is this weekend and temperatures will climb as the bank holiday draws closer according to the Met Office. From Wednesday, April 17, the mercury will begin to rise growing warmer each day in time for the weekend. Good Friday and Easter Saturday look as though they will experience the best of the heat.

How warm could it get? 

According to the Met Office, temperatures could reach more than 10C higher than the average for this time of year. 

Met Office Chief Meteorologist, Steve Willington said: "From Wednesday (April 17) temperatures will start to rise day by day and with the sun getting stronger at this time of year, it’s going to feel warm or very warm by the time we get to Good Friday and Easter Saturday."

“Temperatures will reach into the low 20s Celsius quite widely and there’s a good chance some places in the south could see temperatures peaking around 23 Celsius.
