Emma Fairweather has allegedly been charged with two counts of failing to name a driver when asked, The Sun has reported. Ms Fairweather broke her wrist in the crash near Sandringham estate in January. She demanded Philip should be prosecuted for hitting the car.
Ms Fairweather said at the time of the crash: “It’s been a traumatic and painful time. I expected more of the Royal Family.”
The Duke of Edinburgh sent a letter of apology to the mother.
He didn’t suffer any injuries from the crash which saw his Range Rover flipped.
Philip later surrendered his driving license and was not prosecuted.
