The first instalment of the eight and final series saw the Lady of Winterfell, Sansa Stark (played by Sophie Turner), welcome Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) to Winterfell.

She offered a rather frosty reception and the pair did not see eye to eye throughout the episode with Sansa even taking a swipe at the Khaleesi’s dragons.

Sansa’s cold reception left Daenerys warning her lover Jon Snow (Kit Harington) that his sister needed to “respect” her Queen.
