Alex Jones’ spot on the BBC sofa will be filled by The One Show favourite Angellica Bell, 43, who has previously fronted segments and hosted the programme. In an interview with Express.co.uk, she revealed she would be joining Matt Baker, 41, on presenting duties later this month. “Because it’s you, I’ll let you know,” she teased. “I’m covering the first three weeks of maternity leave for definite.

Asked whether she would be covering further shows for Alex later in the star’s maternity leave, Angellica explained: “I’ve got some other bits to do, more on the BBC and filming and stuff.
“So maybe some more later down the line but they’re cracking the whip with me on other stuff,” she laughed.
Angellica, who has recently teamed up with TalkTalk for their latest campaign, will be reunited with her former CBBC co-star Matt when she rejoins the line-up on The One Show at the end of the month, having worked together at the children’s channel in the past.
“It’s funny because it just feels like we’re back at the BBC me going over to do a trail at the Blue Peter studio or him coming over to do a presentation in the Broom Cupboard,” she said.
“We just have a natter and it’s fun. Because we know each other, there’s that instant chemistry and because we know each other socially as well, it’s really nice.
