The Duke of Edinburgh was seen driving without his seatbelt in Windsor Great Park while the Queen was at the annual Maundy service at St George’s Chapel. The royal surrendered his licence earlier this year following his terrible crash while driving near the Queen’s Sandringham Estate. Although the three passengers involved suffered only minor injuries, the 97-year-old voluntarily handed over his licence following public outcry.

Speaking upon seeing Prince Philip driving in the Crown Estate, one alleged onlooker told The Sun of their shock and surprise.

They said: “I was very surprised to see the Duke driving his Land Rover by the river.

“He wasn’t wearing his seat belt and you would have thought after that terrible crash earlier this year he would have learnt his lesson.
