Vikings fans were sent into meltdown when a leaked photo appeared to reveal Lagertha’s (played by Kathryn Winnick) death.
Now, fans have been speculating as to who kills her and a shock name has been suggested by fans on Reddit.
One fan introduced the theory: “This brings me back to a post I made right after we hear Hvitserk’s fate from the Seer’s prophecy. I back then predicted that Hvitserk will be the one to kill Lagertha since ‘He will accomplish what those before him have failed to accomplish.’
“People thought that him killing Lagertha isn’t that big of a deal, but when we think about it, it really is.”

Another fan agreed: “It makes the most sense for why Hvitserk will do it though. Ivar will be in Russia. Bjorn will 100% not do it. Ubbe is standing at the front row watching a ship departure with shields surrounding it that are Lagertha's which is why I believe it’s her funeral.”
One fan was unsure about how he would kill Lagertha: “As I said, the beach battle comes after Lagertha’s death so Hvitserk I think will kill her but I don’t know how.
“I doubt Bjorn will exile Hvitserk so if he is exiled, it’ll be when Ubbe is ruling and when Bjorn has left Kattegat for some time. I don’t know how and where Bjorn’s life will be saved by Erik so that’ll be interesting too.”
