Orangutan FIGHTS bulldozer as home is destroyed in #ClimateChangeTheFacts

SIR DAVID ATTENBOROUGH aired new documentary Climate Change: The Facts on the BBC last night and one heartbreaking scene showing an orangutan fighting a bulldozer as it tore down a forest left viewers horrified.

The documentary presented by Sir David was broadcast on BBC One yesterday evening and aimed to show the devastating affects of climate change on the earth.

One scene in particular left viewers in tears as they watched an orangutan fight with a bulldozer as its home was ripped apart.

As the organs machine tore down large areas of the forest, the orangutan could be seen charging towards it in a bid to stop the destruction.

It could also be seen hitting the bulldozer with its fists but eventually gave up trying to stop it.

The orangutan was seen lying on a felled tree as it watched the destruction continue.

Workers trying to clear the area were then shown trying to move the orangutan on from the forest area.

The destruction of its home highlights the affect of the growing demand for palm oil, which is used in many household products.

Taking to Twitter to comment on the scene, one viewer shared: “The orangutan hitting the digger has broke me #ClimateChangeTheFacts.”

Another added: “Seeing the orangutan trying to stop the bulldozer broke my heart #ClimateChangeTheFacts.”
