Anne Hegerty made her debut on The Chase in its second series, back in 2010. Since starring in the ITV show, the Chaser has become known as The Governess to many fans. The 60-year-old, who was born in Westminster but lives in Manchester, stars alongside Mark Labbett, 53, Shaun Wallace, 58, Paul Sinha, 48, and Jenny Ryan, 37. Anne has also appeared on the Australian version of the show - as have Mark and Shaun.
The Chase isn’t the only quiz show which fans have been able to see Anne in.
She has also appeared in Mastermind, Are You an Egghead? and Brain of Britain, amongst a number of others.
And, it won’t comes as a surprise that she has been invited to appear in so many of the shows, as in October 2016, Anne was ranked 55th in the World Quizzing Championships.
The Chaser scooped 75th place in the World Quizzing Championship in 2018.
But, the TV personality isn’t just known for her skills when it comes to quizzes.
She’s also made a number of appearances on the stage too, taking on a variety of roles in pantomimes across the UK in the past.
