The Easter heatwave has engulfed the UK and forced temperatures up to the mid-twenties as the country continues to enjoy the unusually warm weather. The Met office has forecast that temperatures will remain warm well into the night and Monday will also see temperatures in the mid-twenties as the heat refuses to subside. Met Office forecaster Ellie Creed said: “We saw sunny Sunday and that sunshine will continue through the bank holiday.
“Monday is going to be pretty warm too as temperatures have risen over the last couple days and no exception on Easter Monday.
“In the meantime, there will be plenty of clear spells overnight Sunday, a little bit more in the way of rain for northwestern parts with one or two showers to creep through in Northern Ireland and western Scotland.
“For tomorrow morning it will be a bright start and it could be a chilly start for some
