Britons have been enjoying glorious conditions over the Bank Holiday Weekend, as hundreds of thousands of people pack out parks and beaches across the UK. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have seen the hottest Easter Sunday on record, with a chance England could still follow suit. But temperatures are expected to dwindle from Tuesday onwards, with hail and thunder expected. Met Office forecaster Simon Partridge said: “Easter Monday could well break its temperature record, with beautiful sunny conditions for most.
“27C is possible on Monday and potential for 28C on Tuesday.
“It's a nice change to be talking about good weather and not rain for a Bank Holiday.
“But thundery showers are expected from Tuesday afternoon and on Wednesday in the South and Midlands, with the end of the warmest temperatures with 23C on Wednesday.”
The Met Office said: “Tuesday will be mostly dry and warm, however, showers are possible in the southwest later.
