Rash (played by Neet Mohan) had been putting off his plans to travel the globe with girlfriend Gemma Dean (Rebecca Ryan) after her brother Iain Dean (Michael Stevenson) made an attempt to take his own life on Casualty.

Though, Rash’s focus turned to his own family during last night’s edition of the BBC medical drama as his mother was admitted to Holby City ED after an angina attack.

Worrying he needed to put his plans to travel on hold once more, Rash discovered his mother’s attack was brought on because she’d discovered his pre-booked tickets to Vietnam whilst searching his room.

After the pair came to blows, Rash finally told his mother he was going to travel before taking the next stage his medical training, which she happily accepted following a chat with Gem.

Whilst a third commented: “I hope he does come back and that Gem and Rash end up together forever. We need a happy marriage on Casualty for a change,” pinning their hopes on the young couple having a long-lasting future.

It appears some fans could have been right as actor Neet Mohan, 33, has reportedly been filming
