Anything can happen in Game of Thrones and Sansa could be a popular underdog according to one new fan theory.
As Lady of Winterfell, Sansa has gathered support in the North and proved herself a successful strategist.
Reddit user Jake Nutters wrote: “What if Jon and Dany die so Sansa claims the throne. By far she has the greatest support as the only available child of Ned Stark she has the Support of the North, The Riverlands through her Tully mother and The Vale through Jon Arryn (her cousin) and the fact that the Knights of the Vale pledged to serve her.
“She would also have Brienne at her side and Arya to kill people for her. (which is important every king and Queen needs a murderer to help them).
“If we assume Euron is going to die then the Iron islands wouldn't interfere with Sansa's claim neither will Dorne or Highgarden as their forces have been wiped out or are too weak.
“That leaves the Westerlands (which might be Ruled by Jamie or Tyrion by the end of the show who would support or not interfere) and the Stormlands who are really her main opposition.”
Sansa has suffered one of the cruellest journeys on the show and it would certainly feel just for her to have a happy ending.
