The Queen celebrated her 93rd birthday on Easter Sunday. In tribute, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge sent birthday wishes to the Queen on their Kensington Royal Instagram account. The post read: “Wishing a very happy 93rd birthday to Her Majesty The Queen!"
However, the picture used is one from 2016 before the Duchess of Sussex had joined the Royal Family.
The three-year-old photo shows the Queen waving next to husband, Prince Philip at Trooping of the Colour in June.
Princes William and Harry as well as Kate and Prince George and Princess Charlotte featured in the photo.
There are pictures of Meghan on the royal balcony from last year’s event which could have been used.
