The Flash (played by Grant Gustin) was entirely shocked when Nora West-Allen (Jessica Parker Kennedy) arrived in the beginning of season five.
And to make things even more complicated, Nora revealed she was in fact Barry’s daughter from the future.
The latest episode of the show - Godspeed - showcased Nora’s journey from regular CSI officer to speedster.
But fans of the show may not have noticed the parallels which were displayed between her first foray as a superhero, and her father’s.
This even includes the way both Nora’s episode and Barry’s episodes are structured.
In The Flash’s pilot episode Barry begins the show by being late to work - which Nora follows suit.
The Flash then loses control of his speed during his first venture into being a superhero, launching him into the back of a laundry vehicle - Gambi Cleaners.
Nora makes this same mistake, and fires herself at a laundry vehicle as well, but this time it is titled Gambi & Sons.
She is also later mentored by Reverse Flash (Tom Cavanagh) who originally mentored Barry back in season one.
