Millennials most likely to be 'BROKE' before payday

A total of 44 per cent said they checked their bank account once a week, with 13 per cent leaving it up to a fortnight.

But 10 per cent confessed they had not checked their bank account in the past six months, leaving themselves more likely to go overdrawn or not noticing fraudulent transactions.

The study by money saving app USE also found that millennials were most laid back when it came to checking their bank accounts, with one-third not checking their account in the past six months.

Those over the age of 55 were least likely
