Netflix has been very proactive in teasing its first ever season showing Lucifer after Fox cut the show last year.

Now, Lucifer star Tom Ellis has teased the best ever Lucifer moment, and it might not be what fans expect.

Alongside Ella Lopez star Aimee Garcia at FanX, he answered questions from fans about the show.

One audience member asked him what the biggest burn he could give to Fox was after they cut the show?

The Lucifer star replied in typically devilish fashion. He said: “Honestly, we have to be grateful in the first place that Fox played the show. It wouldn’t have existed without Fox’s input.

“I think, weirdly, Fox cancelling the show was the best thing that ever happened to us.”

He then delighted fans by saying: “I think the biggest burn that we can give Fox is this [points at audience]. It’s been so overwhelming. I don’t think we knew and really don’t think Fox knew just how popular the show was.”

Aimee also added: “From one tweet that Tom sent out to the world and for it to catch fire globally and 8.5 million people around the world coming together in a Lucifer family to resurrect [the show] is the biggest burn.”

She then dropped a major tease for fans as she revealed: “I think we might get season five and six.”

Netflix has yet to announce further seasons, but if their pattern continues then they could announce it straight away if the show becomes even more of a success on it.
