Elsewhere temperatures will cool, especially in eastern areas. Some frost should even be expected early morning for parts of Scotland. Wednesday is expected to see thunderstorms moving up from the south of the UK.
Using its official Twitter account the Met Office commented: “Are you back to work or school on Tuesday morning?
“Bright sunshine could make driving difficult at times.”
The day will start largely dry and warm, though there could be some localised frost over the Scottish highlands.
Light showers could hit Wales and southwestern England, but these should soon dissipate.
