BBC Weather: SHOCK Saharan dust system to whip across Britain as temperatures ...

BBC Weather has claimed a Saharan dust system will sweep across Britain after the UK saw temperatures reach 25C on Easter Monday. But, BBC forecaster Louise Lear warned temperatures would tumble after the record-breaking heat this weekend. She said: “All change for the weekend fast approaching, it’s going to be cool with outbreaks of rain, with those temperatures back to where they should be for this time of year.

“We are already starting to see signs of that change with a veil of high cloud filling up from the near continent, and mixed in there a little bit of Saharan dust in the upper atmosphere.

“That is making for some pretty interesting sunrises. Quite an orange glow around at the moment and you may well notice it over the next couple of days.”

The BBC Weather forecaster also claimed temperatures would soon dip and could tumble to highs of just 14C in the capital at the weekend.

She said: “As we move out of Wednesday we have to look out to the Atlantic for this cooler fresher air to start to push in from the west and that is going to stay with us right into the weekend.
