Fortnite season 9 is fast approaching, with the release date for the next Battle Pass on the horizon. Fortnite season 9 looks set to arrive on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, PCs and Macs in the next few weeks. Epic Games have not yet announced the Fortnite season 9 release date but the in-game countdown in the Battle Pass could show when it will drop. The countdown says the final full day of Fortnite season 8 will be Wednesday May 8 2019.
Judging by past release schedules, this means that season 9 of Fortnite could have a release date the following day - Thursday May 9 2019.
And dataminers may have figured out one feature coming with Fortnite season 9 when it launches.

Gifting was first introduced in November 2018 and while not a permanent feature it has since returned on multiple occasions.

That Fortnite gifting feature let players send their friends cosmetics via the in-game Fortnite Item Shop.
But latest leaks claim Fortnite fans will be able to gift entire Battle Passes once season 9 comes around.
