Kate, 45, stars as The Widow, Georgia Wells, on the ITV drama who has arrived in the Democratic Republic of the Congo believing her husband who supposedly died in a plane crash three years before, is still very much alive. With her investigation spiralling as numerous characters have found themselves dead, Georgia took a liking to one of the girls being used as a child solider by head of a criminal operation, Pieter Bello (Bart Fouche). After killing Pieter last night as he failed to tell her what had become of her husband Will Mason (Matthew Le Nevez), Georgia ended up helping Adidja (Shalom Nyandiko) escape the child solider ring she was embroiled in. However, as the young girl's backstory was shown at the beginning of the episode through a series of flashbacks, Adidja was then seen on a plane with Georgia, prompting viewers to question how the child had got a passport. Taking to Twitter after the first few moments of the sixth episode, one viewer posted: “Can't fathom what's going on #TheWidow but the biggest thing bugging me tonight is how did Georgia get Adija on a plane?! Cant believe she has a passport?! @ITV.” Another added: “How did she travel with no passport?!? Pffft #thewidow.” Whilst a third wrote: “The little girl had her passport on her to fly #thewidow.” A fourth questioned: “Simple question - so where did she get the money from to pay for the flights and the I.D. for the little girl to travel on the plane ? Also the clothes for them both? #thewidow.” Georgia brought Adidja back to Kinshasa following the arrival of her god-father Martin Benson (Charles Dance) to the Congo. Martin had been reluctant to help Georgia with her quest, but decided to help her when he tracked down Ariel Helgason (Ólafur Darri Ólafsson), a man who was on the plane Will was supposed to be on but had survived the crash.
