Stacey Dooley, 32, previously commented on last year’s 'Strictly Curse' drama involving comedian Seann Walsh, 33, and married professional Katya Jones, 29, revealing the incident “didn’t bother” her. The moment stole the headlines in October when the two were spotted sharing a kiss outside a pub in London, while Seann’s girlfriend Rebecca Humphries waited for him to return home. Seann and Katya later issued a public apology on Strictly Come Dancing spin-off show It Takes Two. Documentary filmmaker Stacey discussed the controversy in an interview with You Magazine back in March, just before reports of her reported “romance” with her former dance partner Kevin Clifton, 36, emerged.
While talking about her difficult day job filming in dangerous countries, she explained that the kissing scandal failed to shock her at the time.
She said: “When you do what I do for a living, in the scheme of things it doesn’t bother me who’s kissing who.”
However, Stacey did admit that winning the show with Kevin left her “gobsmacked”.
The star insisted she assumed fellow finalist Joe Sugg, 27, would go on to secure the Glitterball trophy.
She continued: "I thought Joe had it in the bag. But I never took it too seriously; I always thought, 'If I don’t nail the foxtrot, no one is going to die.'"
Recently, Stacey has been caught up in rumours surrounding the nature of her relationship with fellow Strictly champion Kevin.
